I Want My Daughters to Go Further Than Their Father

Go farther. Dream bigger. Love deeper. Serve others. And never stop believing in your ability to create value in the world.

Looking at this old photograph brings a smile to my face.

As parents, we spend so much time trying to teach, protect, and guide our children that we sometimes forget the most important goal: not for them to become us, but to become more than us.

I want my daughters to go further than their father.

I want them to dream bigger than I dreamed, travel farther than I traveled, learn more than I learned, and experience opportunities that I never had. I want them to stand on the shoulders of those who came before them and see horizons that were invisible to me.

Every sacrifice, every long workday, every lesson shared, every prayer offered was made with that hope in mind.

Success as a parent is not measured by what we achieve for ourselves. It is measured by the doors we help open for the next generation.

Today, as I look back on this moment, I am filled with gratitude. My daughters have taught me as much as I have taught them. They have given my life purpose, perspective, and joy.

If my journey helped make their path a little smoother, then I consider that one of my greatest accomplishments.

My wish for them remains the same today as it was when this photograph was taken:
